Boy, would I like to vandalize this page.

Delay, by party policy, had to give up his post as majority speaker. But in essence "the Hammer" never gave up his leadership position, and his intention was to return (thinking he could cast off the Texas criminal charges easily((right, like that would happen))). I think "abandons" as a headline was appropriate, but more importantly, who was in charge? Nobody? That wasn't satisfactory. -Edbrown05 23:35, 8 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
