Talk:Scotland: Three murdered schoolboy for "being white"

The headline is a problem. The cited articles all put "being white" in quotation marks because the allegation in court is that the victim was murdered because of his race. That has not been proven and we should not have a headline that suggests this is a fact when it is simply an allegation. Crimson 00:10, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

Actually, it's quoted because it is a quote. :) The witness stated it was the motive for the crime. What's not established is that the accused are muslim. Their religion isn't mentioned in any of the sources, just that of the accused. --Brian McNeil / ^talk 17:06, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

My point is just that the reference to being white should be in quotes in the headline as well, otherwise it looks like we're stating a fact. I see someone has done this. Crimson 17:30, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

Also, it appears the murder happened over a year ago; the headline makes it sound like the murder itself is quite recent. Shouldn't it be changed to say something less misleading? 128.187.129.62 05:00, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
