Sorry, I forgot to include it in the text, but there's a notice releasing it to wikinews via the Creative Commons 2.5 license on the article at the original site, www.jameslogancourier.com.JLCourier 00:56, 17 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Confirming that this is true. Statement says: "Author's note:This story is released to wikinews under the Creative Commons 2.5 license." - Borofkin 01:13, 17 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Original reporting notes

[edit]

This story is my own original reporting. The sources are cited in the story. I didn't read stories in other media outlets, then synthesize this story from those. I conducted interviews via email with the persons quoted , or accessed "statements" provided by the persons quoted, usually "press releases."JLCourier 02:19, 17 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Okay, I've created a sources section, and removed the source that linked to the James Logan Courier. I've removed that link because it is not a source but a copy of this article. The source for this article is you. - Borofkin 03:28, 17 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hello, This is the sixth story I've posted, and this is the first time the source has been changed this way. Consensus seems to indicate that the other method is more accepted, and I like it better, too.JLCourier 05:08, 17 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

I personally think it'd be better to list with one of the based on templates (as its not a src), but it definitly should be properly attributed somehow. (Well, actually I don't really care too much, just my two cents). By the way, thankyou for releasing all these things to us. Bawolff ☺☻ 05:23, 17 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

template:Fork

This article incorporates text from Settlement Returns Billions to California Schools' Budgets by the James Logan Courier, which has a license that is compatible with Wikinews.

For some reason this is working incorectly, and I really need to ask someone about it ({{{1}}} isn't assumed first argument and has to specificly names ({{fork|foo}} doesn't work, {{fork|1=bar}} does)
