Added "subcommittee" for accuracy. Paulrevere2005 23:39, 12 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Why did this get moved from "accuses" to "accuse"? Standard usage, at least in the US, is to treat committees as a collective singular noun. --130.207.119.127 22:31, 13 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Accuracy[edit]

I admit to not having read the entire Senate report, but I believe this headline is incorrect: the subcommittee accused Galloway of being granted vouchers, not accepting vouchers. This makes a very considerable difference to the severity of the alleged crime. Steinsky 02:59, 16 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I've looked through all the news stories on this (though not the full report), and they all report things like "was granted vouchers", "rewarded with..." and so on. None of them say he accepted the vouchers or oil. Steinsky 16:46, 16 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

After reading through the full report User:Amgine and myself have found that the report does not definitively state that Galloway accepted the oil. Steinsky 18:48, 16 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
