the term "illegal" may not be accurate. perhaps warrantless is better.--Cogito1 23:00, 30 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds good to me (warentless does). Bawolff ☺☻ 23:05, 30 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

as this develops, headline needs fixing. "white house leaks" is not what is being investigated. i just heard that the fbi is conducting the investigation. the headline could end up like "fbi investigating nsa intercept program leaks." or something like that. --Cogito1 00:13, 31 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Could this take on elements of the Plame outing, where journalists are forced to reveal their sources? -Edbrown05 19:34, 31 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I expect so. According to what I've heard on NPR and WINS, the NY Times sat on this story for about a year. I wouldn't be amazed if Judy Miller's name pops up again... ▪ NeoAmsterdamTalkEdits 00:40, 1 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
