This template is formatted {{commons|foo|bar}}, where
- foo = Name of the page on Commons
- bar = optional description of the page. If this parameter is left blank, it uses the title of the page (article) as a description (without the namespace prefix), in this case "Commons".
Example
{{commons|United States|U.S.A.}} gives:

Clicking "Commons" will lead to the Commons article called "United States"
