This file may be eligible for speedy deletion as an image which contravenes the fair use policy of Wikinews. Purpose

This template is used to mark and document image files that are copyrighted but have been granted a limited license for use on English Wikinews. It displays a non-free media notification box and optionally adds the file to Category:Gol image unless suppression is specified.

Usage

Place this template on the description page of a non-free image that has been explicitly licensed for use on Wikinews under a *Grant of License*. The image will be labeled with a copyright warning and a reference to the article(s) in which it may be used.

Syntax

 | 1 = Name of the copyright holder
 | 2 = Title of the primary article using the image
 | 3 = (Optional) Title of a second article using the image
 | fair = any value to suppress the deletion warning
 | nocat = any value to suppress automatic categorization

Parameters

1 — The name of the **copyright holder**.
2 — The **title of the article** where the image is used (must exist).
3 — (Optional) A **second article title** where the image is used.
fair — If set (to any value), **suppresses the deletion warning** that otherwise appears for files lacking a grant of license.
nocat — If set, suppresses the default categorization into Category:Gol image.

Behavior

If fair is **not set**, the template displays {{resolutiondelete}} to flag the file for deletion unless an explicit license is present.
Unless nocat is set, the page is added to Category:Gol image.
Always adds a copyright notice using the {{roundbox}} template with the type nonfree and a copyright icon.
