Purpose
[edit]The {{under review}} template is used to signal that an article is currently undergoing an in-depth review by a reviewer not involved in its creation. It discourages others from editing the article while review is in progress, preventing edit conflicts and ensuring a clean and consistent evaluation of the article.
This template is most often placed at the top of an article immediately prior to starting a formal Wikinews review.
Usage
[edit]Place the template at the top of the article that is being reviewed:

Automatic Markup Detection
[edit]This template uses the Lua module Module:DetectMarkup to detect whether the page includes draft-only markup templates, such as {{verify}}.
If any such templates are present, a warning message appears for the reviewer, along with a link to the MarkupManager interface to manage and remove markup templates before publication.
