The standard ordering for medals (on every tally I have ever seen) is based on gold, silver and bronze (see http://www.abc.net.au/olympics/2004/results/medaltally.htm). Although, googling around, other sources seem to like by total (see http://www.winterolympicgames2006.com/medal-tally/). Maybe its just me, but I think countries with gold deserve more recognition than those with lots of bronze. Metao ☺☻ 08:20, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
