Here is a song about the Internet Archive shutdown, which started on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. The perpetrators are a pro-Palestinian group who go by "SN_Blackmeta" on "X", formerly known as "Twitter." Sing this song in the tune of Kesha's 2017 song "Praying." Imagine you are an Internet Archive staff member, and imagine you are singing this song to the Blackmeta villains who did this.

[Verse 1]

Well, you almost had us fooled

You told us we were bad for supporting Israel

Oh, but after everything we've endured

We can thank you for how strong our security has become

[Pre-Chorus]

Cause you brought the DDOS attacks, and you put us through hell

We had to learn how to fight for ourselves

And we both know all the truth I could tell

I'll just say this is, I wish you farewell

[Chorus]

I hope you're somewhere praying, praying

I hope your soul is changing, changing

I hope you find your peace

Falling on your knees, praying

[Verse 2]

We're proud of who we are

No more DDOS, we can serve again

And you said that we were done

Well, you were wrong, and now the best is yet to come!

And we can make it on our own

And we don't need you, we added strength to our servers

To protect from future attacks

In the long run, you will go without a name

[Pre-Chorus]

You stole from millions, and you put them through hell

They had to learn how to fight for themselves

And we both know all the truth I could tell

I'll just say this is, I wish you farewell

[Chorus]

I hope you're somewhere praying, praying

I hope your soul is changing, changing

I hope you find your peace

Falling on your knees, praying
