What's left?

The article says that the ship has been reduced to scrap in recent years. What does that mean? Is only the hull and the outer shape left intact? In my mind, reduced to scrap meant turned into a pile of metal; if that were the case, though, they wouldn't be able to auction it as a ship.

I am stunned that 4chan has not got on this.
