Hi everyone! I thank you for welcoming me.! My name is Michelle Davies, I am an author and a journalist, and content writer.

I am the author of the DC Maggie Neville crime series:

Book 1 – Gone Astray – out now in Hardback, audiobook and e-book. Paperback published in October 2016

Book 2 – Wrong Place – published in hardback February 2017

After six years I packed my bags and moved to London to work on women’s magazines. My first job was running the production desk on more! – sadly no longer published – then I moved to ELLE to be Deputy Production Editor.

My big career break came working for heat. I was given the role of Features Editor when the magazine was struggling to find its niche as a British version of Entertainment Weekly. One massive revamp and the advent of Reality TV later (thanks, Big Brother), heat became the magazine phenomenon of the 90s. It was the most incredible experience working there – I did everything from interviewing the likes of James Nesbitt and Katie Price to being an extra on Friends!

From there it was a short hop to South Africa to help launch of the first international edition of heat, then back to London to join the launch team of another publishing phenomenon – Grazia. After holding the roles of Entertainment Director, Assistant Editor and Editor-at-Large, I decided to go freelance after my daughter was born.

Now I write for write content for cybercrimes such as CSI Awareness and tons of different magazines, including Marie Claire and Stylist, on many different subjects, in between writing novels!
