• L’Université de Montréal - "L’Université de Montréal pourra accueillir cet automne les étudiants de l’University of New Orleans, avec qui elle a une entente de coopération internationale depuis de nombreuses années. Le recteur Luc Vinet a offert à l’UNO de recevoir les étudiants qui le désirent en attendant que la situation revienne à la normale dans cette institution. « Nos pensées sont avec les victimes de cet ouragan dévastateur » a déclaré le recteur Vinet. « Nous tendons la main aux étudiants de l’UNO avec laquelle nous avons des liens de longue date. Ils trouveront à Montréal un milieu prêt à les accueillir et à faciliter leur intégration. » Les étudiants de l’UNO qui désirent venir étudier à l’Université de Montréal devront faire rapidement une demande d’admission. La date limite des choix et abandons de cours est le 13 septembre prochain. Des chambres aux résidences seront réservées à leur intention et la maison des étudiants internationaux mettra tout en œuvre afin de les accueillir et de les soutenir dans leurs démarches auprès des autorités administratives."   • This is already loaded on the main page; I left it untranslated because L’Université de Montréal is a francophone school, and they make no mention of language accomodations. Presumably the exchange program they already had in place with the University of New Orleans already has a mechanism in place to cover that contingency, in which case eligible students should already more or less know about it; at any rate, any student who can't read the above text is unlikely to survive the semester.--Amvhoward 02:02, 5 September 2005 (UTC)

Admitted students may enroll on a semester-by-semester basis for the remainder of this academic year.
