Middle East changes in oil investments[edit]

The Middle East has partnered with North Africa to invest 755 billion dollars in energy. With oil being 31 percent of the investment and energy being 27 percent. The remainder of the investment will go to power generation for the demand growing for electricty. The projections for the investment of 2015-2019 was slightly below the projections in 2014-2018 which was to be 760 billion dollars. Saudia Arabia the main investor will also have lower projections from 170 billion dollars to now 127 billion dollars.

With the Middle East investing in oil and energy China is now expanding their role in the Middle East. In 2013 China passed the United States as the largest importer from the Middle East. Within a decade China has risen from spending 20 billion USD to now 230 billion USD in the last year. China will be investing so much with the Middle East that they will surpass the amoutn they invest within their own country. With all the economics involved China has increased their role in the Middle East, not juse in importing oil but also areas like technolgy and other investments.

White House

President Obama was set to pass polices to help the problem of immigrantion in America, but today a U.S. district judge Andrew Hanen issued an injustion against Obama's actions. A new study has shown that penguins can only taste foods that are salty or sour. A research team from Michigan University discovered that the Adelie Penguins have only two of the five kinds of tastes. They aren't entirely sure why the penguins no longer have the ability to taste foods that are sweet, bitter, or umami also know has "savory," but they have the idea that it was lost due to the cold temperatures the penguins live in.

Penguins have moved to warmer climates recently but they are all orginally from Antartica, whihc is where at some point they have lost three of the five tastes. Jianzhi Zhang a professor from the University of Michigan talked about how that even though penguins tend to eat fish they do not have the ability to taste it. Penguins tongues are made to be able to catch and keep hold of the food rather than to enjoy the taste, which may be another explaination for their lost in tastes.

Removing branding on cigarettes will decrease smokers[edit]

Blank cigarette packet with logo removed and cigarettes sticking out

New studies have shown that by removing the labels and branding on a package of cigarettes have decreased the number of new smokers, and those who already smoked have cut back. In Australia they have already had cigarette packages without branding and instead they have included graphic images and warning labels. Studies have shown that because of that young people have focused more on the warnings and there was a decline in the amount of new smokers.

Tabacco companies are not happy with countries taking part in this. Australia was the only country involved but now Britian plans to do the same. Tabacco companies are against this because they feel it will not only be ineffective but that it also goes against their property rights as well as it will only cause more problems like smuggling and forging.
