Hello, whoever's reading this! I'm LivelyRatification, or just Alison. I've worked on a few articles for Wikinews. If you have an issue with anything I've done or you have any questions, please do feel free to bring it up on my user talk page. I might not respond, but I do read most everything that's on there and take it into account. My focuses are nebulous and ever-changing, but if I had to pin them down at this very moment, I'd say that I'm interested in writing about pop music, politics (both local and national), and rail transit.
A quick caveat - I am intending to do original reporting in regards to the coming 2022 Victorian state election. While I could not disclose all of my various biases and opinions here in regards to Australian politics (being a fairly opinionated Australian citizen) I will add here that I am volunteering for, and have previously been a member of, the Victorian Socialists political party. I do not see it as particularly likely that I will cover this party or their candidates in any capacity, however I have also previously been a member of the Australian Greens, who I am likely to cover in some capacity. I will also disclose this when writing any article on the election.
Also, this isn't always necessary, but when writing on a developing situation or a situation likely to change, please do archive your links wherever possible. I learnt this the hard way when writing up this article. An easy way to do this is to add web.archive.org/save to the start of any link you want to archive. That way, it can serve as a reference to your source at the time of writing, and possibly preserve the information if it's changed.
