In addition to small random edits, I mainly only make audio recordings of articles (see my archive) and changes in grammar that make articles easier to read out loud. I will record articles on request (if I have the time). I like ones where I know how to pronounce all the names.
There has been discussion recently on how public-domain articles from Voice of America should be used, if at all. Regardless of what the community decides, I will probably not record articles that come nearly verbatim from VOA. I do not believe that it is the most effective use of my time. Not only do VOA make audio recording of their articles themselves (on much better equipment than mine), I think it is rather silly (in a way that I can't explain rationally).
