{{tasks|news|src|re-review...}}{{Australia}} {{date|March 25, 2018}} Caboolture defeated Glasshouse outright on Saturday to win the Sunshine Coast Cricket Association division one premiership at John Blanck Oval in Buderim, Australia. The first two days of the match were played on the 17th and 18th of March.
Rain delayed play on the first day. This caused play on the final two days of play to be extend by an hour. When the umpire allowed play to proceed, Glasshouse won the toss and elected to bat first.
They managed to score 129 before being bowled out. Caboolture could only manage 94 runs in their first innings.
"We were pretty down and out at the end of last week and we knew it was going to be a mammoth task to come back and hopefully win the game," Caboolture captain Glen Batticciotto said.
"All the odds were against us and I'm just really happy with how the boys just never gave up and fought all the way to the end."
Caboolture got Glasshouse out in their second innings for another 129 This left them 165 runs to get. The Snakes managed to chase down the total to win by eight wickets.
Glasshouse captain Jeremy Schultz says his side had enough runs to defend.
“They probably showed us how we should have batted, he said
“They had a lot more intent in their shots.”
