* The story is no longer fresh and does not qualify as news anymore. The latest source is from 22 January. Our policy is that stories must have been reported no more than three days ago. So this story stopped being news from 26 January onwards.

Answer: Thanks for the heads-up! Nowhere in the article is his name mentioned because I previously thought that the director's name is not something that readers would care about and there was a coverage date attached to the upper left corner of the article to help distinguish the director in question from the director of CTS at other times. Is it imperative to include every subject's name?

Regarding your question of whether it was immediately or in the days after the finance committee suspended discussions, it's about 3 days approximately since the incident first broke out on January 18 and Zhuang Fengjia resigned the directorship on January 21. I previously assumed that readers would only be interested to see if there establishes causation between Zhuang's conflict with the lawmaker and Zhuang's resignation. Is it imperative to write out the date of every sub-event?

As far as I can see, there is no media organisation in Taiwan with this name. The director, who resigned, is from Chinese Television System, which is part of Taiwan Broadcasting System (TBS). Another part of TBS is the Public Television Service. In future, please try to be clear about which person or body you are talking about.

I simply specified "public broadcasting service" instead of their respective exact brand name because I presumed that introducing the exact brand name was not the point of this article and there should be no confusion so long as the readers understood that the media in question is Taiwanese equivalent for UK's BBC and USA's PBS. Is it imperative to inform readers about the exact name of every firm?

* In the third paragraph, there is a quote from Fai Hong-Tai but he did not say this in English. The grammar is what might be expected from a literal translation, but it does not make complete sense because while reading it, I had to rearrange the words in my kind. Readers shouldn’t have to try to decipher the correct grammar.
