It is a well known fact that in this world of advertising and product placement, video clips are no exception but, to what degree can product placemnt go before it becomes subliminal advertising.
While watching a video fergalicious, a was appauled when I saw the amound of advertisements, most of which flashed on the screen for a fraction of a second.
From Trix cereal boxes painted on crunk dancers to flashes of huge nike logo's on shoes, the video is riddled with such advertisements.
I can live with the ever so subtle advertisement half way through when fergie starts to listen to a samsung mp3 player but, it is the whole idea that videoclips are the new prostitutes of the media that gets on my nervess.
