Welcome to Meta!

Hello Tempodivalse, and welcome to the Wikimedia Meta-Wiki! This website is for coordinating and discussing all Wikimedia projects. You may find it useful to read our policy page. If you are interested in doing translations, visit Meta:Babylon. You can also leave a note on Meta:Babel or Wikimedia Forum (please read the instructions at the top of the page before posting there). If you would like, feel free to ask me questions on my talk page. Happy editing! --Mikhailov Kusserow (talk) 03:13, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

Welcome to Meta!

Thank you very much Tempodivalse,
I don't know to speak English. But, my grandchild knows. So, he translates and writes what I tell him in Spanish.
I'm here to help and enter words to the Wiktionary Judaeo-Spanish project. I'm 79 years old. So, I can't use the computer very often. But I'll try to do as much as I can so that my native knowledge of this language doesn't get lost. See you. --Dora Beraha 17:56, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

You're welcome. Tempodivalse [talk] 18:53, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

How to add link on "Requests for new languages page

On Meta:Language proposal policy it says to just add the template under open once I'm done with my request page. But the edit feature is not available on Requests for new languages. Could you help me? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Working for Him (talk)

That page appears to have been "semi-protected" (i.e. locked to anonymous users and registered accounts newer than four days). I see you've registered an account here only yesterday, so you can't edit that page for a few days. I went ahead and added the link for you. Tempodivalse [talk] 23:22, 14 November 2009 (UTC)
Thanks! =) Working for Him 23:35, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

My Steward 2010 failure!

Thanks! :D I <3 you anyways! --Fail 05:53, 7 February 2010 (UTC)

Fundraising Committee

Hi there! Thanks for volunteering to sit on the Fundraising committee. The work of the committee will be really valuable to making this year's annual giving campaign really effective. I've posted an overview to Fundraising 2010, and would love your thoughts on the talk page. I'm also going to try to set up an IRC meeting soon, and hope you'll join for that. Keep an eye Fundraising 2010/Committee for a couple of proposed times! Thanks again... Philippe (WMF) 18:22, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

Meeting

Hi all,

I'd like to have a meeting on IRC this week to discuss the 2010-2011 annual appeal/fundraiser. This will be an "anyone is welcome" type meeting, open to the broad community. During this, Zack Exley and I will take you through our inital thoughts about the fundraiser and its organization, and ask you to join us in a discussion about the (massive) role of volunteers and chapters in this year's fundraiser.

Because of the vagaries of time zones, scheduling live meetings is hard. So, we'll have a couple of potential times, and we'll log and post the meeting for anyone who wasn't able to make it.

The meetings will be held Thursday, 12 August at 23:00 UTC (16:00 PDT) and Friday, 13 August at 16:30 UTC (09:30 PDT) in the #wikimedia-fundraising channel on the freenode network on IRC (irc://irc.freenode.net/wikimedia-fundraising). You can access this using freenode's webclient, which is available at http://webchat.freenode.net/ or by using your favorite IRC client.

Hope to see you there! Philippe (WMF) 20:25, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

Fundraising 2010

Hello Tempodivalse, thanks for showing interest in the fundraising committee. You can see that we've started to develop the Committee structure and I'd like to encourage your thoughts and participation in the formulation of the important role Wikimedians will play in our drive this year. Please leave me a message if you have a specific request from me, otherwise head to the talk pages and lets get started brainstorming! Keegan (WMF), Fundraising 2010 20:08, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

Thanks...

...for the translation! --WizardOfOz talk 18:15, 23 January 2011 (UTC)

No problem, glad to do it. en -> ru is harder than the other way around, had to use some of that grey matter ;-) ... Might be good to have a person who uses Russian more frequently double-check for smooth sentence structure and style. Tempodivalse [talk] 18:19, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
THX anyway. But as i can see, it looks well. --WizardOfOz talk 18:22, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
It should be fine for the most part - it's just that I've used so little Russian recently that little things here and there tend to slip. But it's certainly nothing that would affect understandability or clarity. Tempodivalse [talk] 19:14, 23 January 2011 (UTC)

Welcome back!

Welcome back? I think it's been a while since I've seen you. I replied on Proposals for closing projects/Closure of Amharic Wikiquote 2. Projects with more content have been closed in the past. πr2 (t • c) 03:11, 2 April 2013 (UTC)

It's been a long time since I've edited a Wikimedia project. University and other obligations have kept me busy. :-) Nice to see you again. Tempodivalse [talk] 03:18, 2 April 2013 (UTC)
Nice to see you again too! Have you heard any news about Razor? BTW: Replied again. Honestly, I'm a bit against "type 1" too -- but 5 pages is not going to be a very useful resource for Amharic-speakers, and they can edit the Incubator if they're interested. πr2 (t • c) 03:31, 2 April 2013 (UTC)
Last I heard, Razor had returned to en.wiktionary after his block expired. But that was a few months ago and I haven't been around Wikimedia in the meantime. I'm probably not the best person to ask :) Contribs suggest he's not edited there lately.
BTW, Can you suggest a project for me to contribute to that might need extra help? I'm sort of drifting around lately -- ever since leaving en.wikinews I haven't had a home project. The English Wiktionary didn't cut it; I'm looking at Wikibooks or maybe an Esperanto wiki right now. Tempodivalse [talk] 03:47, 2 April 2013 (UTC)
Based on your interests (Esperanto and Wikibooks), maybe you should consider the Esperanto Wikibooks. For Wikibooks, you could also try the English edition (obviously), or Russian (which you have listed as a native language on en.Wiktionary). Or do you want to try one of Wikimedia's newer projects: Wikidata (multilingual like Commons), or Wikivoyage (en, eo)? Please reply if you're interested in one of these. Or, the Esperanto Wikipedia|Wiktionary, of course. πr2 (t • c) 04:07, 2 April 2013 (UTC)
Ah yes, Wikivoyage and Wikidata! I had almost forgotten that we have new sibling projects :) I must go investigate them. I think en.wikibooks might be promising, they seem to have one of the nicest communities around. I've already contributed a bit to eo.wp, maybe I'll renew my activity there once again as well. Thanks! Tempodivalse [talk] 04:20, 2 April 2013 (UTC)
