A new law that proposes no spitting, swearing, or urinating in public passed it's second reading in Calgary, Canada. Violators could pay up to $250 in fines.

Al Jazeera, which is celebrating it's tenth birthday, has launched Al Jazeera English, which would be available to subscribers on cable, satellite, IPTV, and phone networks in Western Europe, the Middle East, Australia, and Malaysia.

In New Zealand, Internet Service Provider Orcon Internet Limited is going to provide television channels via super-fast broadband, straight to the customers television set. This is a result of New Zealand's government decision to open up Telecoms line to other ISPs.
