Welcome

[edit]

AndreJustAndre, welcome to Wikinews! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Our key policies - if you read anything, read these!

Here a few pointers to help you get to know Wikinews:

There are always things to do on Wikinews:

By the way, you can sign your name on Talk pages using four tildes (~~~~), which produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, you can ask them at the water cooler or to anyone on the Welcommittee, or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! -- NGerda 01:09, September 4, 2005 (UTC)

Just wanted to say hi. Last one was so long ago it doesn't really count. Bawolff 07:49, 2 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Deletion requests

[edit]

You should probably be using Template:Deletion request to flag articles for deletion, not Template:delete. The latter is for hoaxes, nonsense, and other such stuff that should be deleted fairly quickly. --Brian McNeil / talk 07:54, 2 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

The one you speedied is a real place. :) --Brian McNeil / talk 08:09, 2 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Dispute??

[edit]

My friend, you wrote one article in Wikinews and you already dispute my article http://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Program_Ecumenical_Hellenism_starts_second_decade_of_action. This article is the fourth one in a series of OR articles regarding this issue. Zorba 22:22, 10 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections

[edit]

Hi - unfortunately I've had to strike your votes in the current ArbCom elections, because you don't meet the requirments of having >250 mainspace edits before July 1. Personally, I hesitated before doing this, based on your standing on Wikipedia (:)), but eventually had to decide to enforce the rules as they currently stand (perhaps they're open to change if consensus agrees). Sorry - Martinp23 19:31, 20 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
