WeatherChecker Problems[edit]

These are issues I experience on my end with the program , but this does not mean everyone experiences these. If you experience any, please list, in detail, what they may be so that when we go to fix this program, we know what to fix.

  • Cannot zoom into region without the program freezing. I can only view a map of the world.
  • Many buttons, for example on the Region Definition tab do not work such as import, export, delete and delete all do NOT work.
  • None of the features aka buttons in the file tab work.
  • I can edit the font tabs under view, but when I change the font setting, such as size, and click apply and ok, nothing happens and no updates are made.
  • Station list cannot be update. Get massive error message and although the program does not freeze, I am unable to load anymore station, and I have to reboot the program.
  • 24 hour high and low temperatures do not work, unless you have to let the program run for 24 hours, which I have yet to do.
  • Not sure what the XML is for.
  • Update link does nothing and post image only posts image to hard drive, not an auto upload.
  • No auto upload.
  • Most of the only working weather stations are airports in major cities.
  • Stations should be in alphabetical order according to city, not station code...I don't know the codes.
  • Settings will not save, aka: the preset setting on the Station Selection tab. Settings for folder set to Post Images does not save and a new folder has to be selected every time program is opened.
  • Cannot run a report with All regions and All reports without the program freezing.
  • in Station Selection find works, but find next does not.
I will update this list as I realize issues and or remember them. DragonFire1024 11:10, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Want your city on the map?[edit]

Want to see your city on the map? Please place city location, or location of the nearest major city to you, and we will do our best to add yours to the map. DragonFire1024 14:56, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I had to change the cities altogether. see the RE over there :) DragonFire1024 15:38, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I want to see Los Angeles, CA--71.137.226.70 03:38, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Make me pretty[edit]

Feel free to edit the weather page...add links, pictures...Know any tricks where NOAA data can be DPL'ed or something? let me know. I would like to get the stats updated without a bot if possible. DragonFire1024 03:37, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Forecasts[edit]

After the auto update has been released (or not), how about including forecasts, the high would be enough? Perharps even add graphics next to each city or country to show if it will be sunny, cloudy, etc? There's a few ideas, feel free to use, or not use them. --Nzgabriel | Talk 09:07, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually thats exactly what the plan is. the NOAA has several ways to display weather on websites and one way is VIA PHP. We need a toolserv account though and skenmy is in the process of doing that as we speak. DragonFire1024 15:16, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
