london underground article
[edit]hi, appreciate the work u've put into the london underground article. i am, however, concerned as i'm not able to find any mention of the incident in other news sources or the underground website. could to point to any such, or perhaps post ur notes on to the talk page or email ur notes to an experienced administrator, who can confirm the gist of the article. in the meantime, i've moved the article back to develop. we can publish it, once the article's substance is confirmed. u'll find more information on this at wikinews:Original reporting. cheers, Doldrums 10:39, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks, I'm currently waiting to hear back from the Underground's press office, they should be able to confirm this. I am aware that no other major news outlet has picked up the article, which is most likely due to the much more severe story that began to break Wednesday evening, involving the terror plot to blow up US-bound airplanes. A person stuck under a train, I must agree, does seem a little out of place in light of all this. To corroborate the train story, pictures have already been included. I can upload additional pictures, if you'd like. This, in addition with the press office's response (their contact info is on the article's talk page) should be suffient evidence that this story is accurate. Having said that, the foiled terrorist plot which caused chaos today at London Heathrow airport is certainly also newsworthy, and once I find a way to actually leave the city as I had planned, I'll be happy to contribute in that regard, if necessary.
