This is an excellent approach that should be tried. At some point, even though Wikinews articles are evolutionary, in order for them to be news, they have to released such as they are.

Perhaps a redirect link could be scripted for inclusion at the bottom each article listed, so that readers can be easily redirected to Wikinews for the most recent version of the story. -Krump 21:04, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
