Not a good method of developing policy

[edit]

Polls are inherently divisive, and control the topic of discussion. They are not appropriate methods of developing consensus. - Amgine 02:04, 3 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Totally disputed results

[edit]

None of the polls resulted in a clear consensus. The only consensus I have seen is that the polls should end. - Amgine 22:09, 22 Jan 2005 (UTC)

While I'd rather see consensus via discussion, using a poll for exploring acceptable general guidelines seems reasonable as a later resort. The poll I'm submitting isn't to exclude options, but to include them. Karen 19:05, 6 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
