GFDL images cannot reside on Wikinews at this time as GFDL is incompatible with the CC-BY license, unfortunately. --Chiacomo (talk) 06:40, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You mean GFDL images and CC-BY text can't cohabit? —this is messedr͏ocker (talk) 07:22, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's funny. CC-BY is compatible with GFDL, but GFDL isn't compatible with CC-BY. So, for example, CC-BY images can be directly uploaded to Wikipedia (though they should go to commons of course), but GFDL images cannot be directly uploaded to Wikinews (they too should go to commons). --Chiacomo (talk) 07:24, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

it's not funny, it's a choise made by people, a very bad choise driven by nothing related to "cooperation" or intelligence . This lack of symetry or equality beetween the so-called sister projet is a big mistake.sad Jacques Divol 22:18, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

We can of course, as a community, change our licensing (with the conset of the board). --Chiacomo (talk) 22:40, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
