It's funny. CC-BY is compatible with GFDL, but GFDL isn't compatible with CC-BY. So, for example, CC-BY images can be directly uploaded to Wikipedia (though they should go to commons of course), but GFDL images cannot be directly uploaded to Wikinews (they too should go to commons). --Chiacomo ^(talk) 07:24, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
