Wondering if there's a policy for how many articles must populate a category prior to its creation, as by this token, many, including Irish Taoiseach Micheál Martin (6 articles), UK Chancellor & possible next PM Rishi Sunak (4) &c deserve categories. I would understand if they were not notable enough for a worldwide audience; then again, how do they fare against the former President of Sri Lanka? JJLiu112 (talk) 22:26, 24 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

The rule of thumb is three articles. I don't think it is policy but it is a rule I generally abide by. But since we've had it for months and we may be publishing the second article shortly, I didn't think it worth it to speedy delete it. Cheers, SVTCobra 22:35, 24 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
JJ, I added Category:Micheál Martin. It's a lot of editing, especially when the articles are as old as those for Martin. They almost always include a lot of housekeeping. SVTCobra 00:28, 25 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
I also added Category:Rishi Sunak, but it got a little sketchy, the third article was Sunak in a photo but not the body of the article. Is there are fourth that I missed? Cheers, SVTCobra 01:47, 25 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
