Believe it or not, Lafayette wasn't known for his teaching background. I fail to see how anything he came up with in that regard would be worthy of any more than immediate dismissal. That seems to reflect quite badly on the Smiths; on the other hand, being outspoken advocates of Scientology wouldn't necessarily make them any more or less stupid. Really, it's just a shame that this isn't happening outside of California.
