Stop calling PKK as Kurdish rebels[edit]

It is very irritating and bothering to see that Wikinews is referring to PKK Terrorists as "Kurdish Rebels" or "militants". As Wikinews/Wikipedia and all their personnel are well aware of the fact that PKK is a terrorist organization which makes its living through drug trafficking, extortion, arms smuggling and money laundering.PKK claimed thousands of Turkish soldiers' lives during the last two decades. PKK has also taken countless civilian lives -including babies and children- through shootings and bombings. Technically speaking, there are many sub-types of the term “rebellion” ranging from “non-violent resistance” to “insurgency”, which is a term you often use for violence in Iraq. Why would Wikinews choose to be non-specific when it comes to PKK violence? If Mahatma Gandhi were alive today, would you call him a rebel too? I am sure he would have had something to say for such injustice of equality.

What Wikinews presents in news has an immense influence on public opinion and vaguely referring to "terrorists" as "rebels" or "militants" only serves to justify their violence, as if it is excusable, and create an aura of sympathy for their cause. Your attempts to shape or influence public opinion regarding this matter is not acceptable nor professional.

I strongly and kindly request Wikinews to correct its wording regarding terrorists, terrorism and their actions.

Kind Regards;
