Iquique, Chile struck by moderate earthquake

Iquique, Chile has been struck by a moderate magnitude 5.6 earthquake, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
The quake's epicenter was located approximately 35 kilometers (21.7 miles) east, northeast of Iquique and had a depth of 35 km (21.7 miles).
According to the USGS, damage could be moderate, but so far there are no reports of damage, injuries or deaths. Some power outages were reported. Iquique has a population of over 227,000 people.
