Speculation or sourced?[edit]

Noting it needs an urgent review, is the statement Embattled Spanish singer Soraya Arnelas could not overcome ill will against her from the RTVE scandal earlier in the week, and placed twenty-fourth. speculation or is it sourced from somewhere else? If it's sourced, where? If it's speculation, I doubt the majority of Eurovision users will have even known of this scandal. Computerjoe (talk) 23:39, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Did you read the article that was linked? It was covered in the mainstream press pretty heavily yesterday. Mike Halterman (talk) 23:40, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
What I didn't cover or source in Friday's article is how Spain's neighbors did not want to vote for Spain because they switched semi-finals. So that did have an effect on the voting, and that was covered in the Spanish press yesterday and the day before. Mike Halterman (talk) 23:42, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The sources from Friday's article cover it, I should clarify, I just chose not to mention it in the article I wrote on Friday. Mike Halterman (talk) 23:45, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I reworded the sentence to let the reader draw their own conclusions, since it's early yet and no news outlets have specifically linked one with the other. Mike Halterman (talk) 23:48, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
