Obama to speak on the issue

On Monday evening at 7:30 p.m. EDT, Washington, DC time, Barack Obama President of the United States will deliver an address at the National Defense University in Washington, DC on the situation in Libya. You can watch the speech live at WhiteHouse.gov/live. In his letter on Mar 26, 2011 6:55 AM he said, "Our message to Qaddafi is clear: attacks against innocent civilians must end, his forces must be pulled back, humanitarian aid must reach Libyans in need, and those responsible for the violence in Libya must be held accountable."

Also, Gadhafi retired in 1979, so calling it his "regime" seems to downplay the Libyan army being people who went to school and so forth, i.e. they are not unimportant.69.3.114.87 (talk) 22:41, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

The word "regime" was used in the sources. Also, there is no evidence that Gadhafi retired as leader of Libya in 1979. Mattisse (talk) 23:22, 26 March 2011 (UTC)
