I am a recent account holder, since April of 2008, and have been an account holder in Wikipedia for about a year. I have acquired the habit of doing minor edits on Wikipedia pages I have read, for grammar or clarity, sometimes for spelling, and occasionally for content. I will contribute to Wikinews in a similar way. by making minor edits on Wikinews stories. If more knowledgeable readers notice problems in relation to any of these edits, please correct them and send me a note.

Editing is somewhat natural for me to do, since I am a former English teacher, and I have had quite a bit of editorial experience.

I am also a clinical psychologist, with a general interest in scientific and philosophical topics, so I am more likely to edit such content.

I have a query on the Reference Desk page of Wikiquotes, concerning a poem I would like to find. The relevant quote is: "If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my body take."

My user name is "Janice Vian", which is my real name. Someone else in Wikipedia has the user name "Jvian", which I tried to register last year. Confusion is possible, but the Wikipedia user page of Jvian is concerned mostly with travel to Italy.

I live in Canada, in a rural area of Alberta, and enjoy the fact that this physically isolated location is no longer a barrier to intellectual communities. Janice Vian Janice Vian - (talk) 19:04, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
