The Wikinews Timeline project is a proposal for an alternative namespace for reporting on current events, being timeline-based rather than deadline-based. It is meant as an experiment in developing perennial content for deeper integration with Wikipedia and Wikidata to grow the Wikinews community, that will in turn build a larger critical mass for the traditional Wikinews deadline-based model to truly flourish with regular periodical publication.
