The Wikinews Print Edition is a daily edition of Wikinews designed to offer a different way of reading Wikinews. It is also designed to help bring new users in, by allowing people to print copies and distribute them to those who would never otherwise hear about Wikinews.
Usually created by Wikinews user Cspurrier (who's open to outside help), new editions are created manually and posted at about 0100-0300 UTC. (The time is chosen for two reasons: Wikinews slows at this point, so stories are less likely to be changed, and this is when Cspurrier has time to do it.) Created using OpenOffice.org 2.4 on Kubuntu, they feature the previous day's stories, to ensure content has been reviewed.

Other notes About the Print edition
- The trial for Create Adobe PDF Online has expired. --User:Anonymous101 (I would prefer it if you replied via the email link) 08:58, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
- another alternative is http://pdfcreator.sf.net which is a free (as in GPL I think) software printer driver for Windows that prints PDFs. Pdfcreator can turn anything you can print normally into PDF.
- If you want to be contacted on your talk page when a new print edition comes out go to Wikinews:inform print edition and I will send a message to you with a link to the latest print edition whenever it comes out. If this service is found to be unnecessary, please remove it.
