Two people have died due to a recent car crash in Shepton Mallet, near Bristol, United Kingdom.

The incident occurred when a Honda Civic Type R car swerved off the road. Police reports suggest that the car hit a tree, causing the two fatalities.

The incident resulted in the closure of the A37 road, where the incident occurred, for several hours. It reopened at 01:00 UTC today.

Avon and Somerset police appealed for information regarding the crash:

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or may have been travelling on the A37 at the time.
