To me, it feels like this is an awkward union cat covering two fields which have overlap but are distinct. Thoughts? Heavy Water (talk) 02:10, 7 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Broadly speaking, I think the only difference is in the way treatment is rendered. And because psychotherapy/talk therapy alone for serious illnesses such as Schizophrenia isn't helpful at all. Hence, pills, and doctors to prescribe pills, and a designated term to describe such doctors. EirinaKhan (talk) 18:14, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm saying this lightly, so bear that in mind and heaven knows this isn't the place to dive into this too deeply but (I'm a social worker)....research over the past few years has started to shine a different light on talk therapy having no effect on Schizophrenia.--Bddpaux (talk) 18:42, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
