I do his family well. His grand son and grand daughter live in Glenwood ia. He has family in Omaha ne. As wellhe continues to be one of the most amazing people I have ever met in my life. I can help you if your still looking to chat with his family his stories are legendary I never get tired of hearing them.
Would any one know how I can contact Karls family. The Von Hess's were good friends of my parents from Hiram's trailer Park; Karl and Lenore were my baby sitters back then, I still have a picture of me as a baby on his sholders. I remember them as great people, unfortunatly I have not seen them since the 80's at their trailer park in South SerseyLink title

So, sorry, we don't have the details and - realistically - even if we did it would not be appropriate to share them with an anonymous contributor, particularly at this time. --Brian McNeil / talk 16:32, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
Von Hess was actually 91 when he passed away. I know his family. His son John was really close friends with my uncle before my uncle passed away.
