eBay, PayPal, their double charges and devious polices
[edit]{{Not only eBay's policy is anticompetitive, but also it is a blatant attempt to restrict our choices and freedoms only to maximize eBay’s profits. This is one thing; however last Thursday, 12 March 2009, just after I received payment for some radio tubes I sold, I received PayPal’s notification of my PayPal Account being restricted. Their explanation was that they must confirm my identity and for this I need to supply them with my Passport’s number, photocopy of my Driving Licence, and some other documents including Utility Bills to confirm my address. Because I am a Verified User of eBay, for which I had to provide my bank account numbers and my credit card numbers, and to open such accounts my identity was thoroughly checked by the Bank in conjunction with Australian Tax Office. Therefore, on this occasion I refused to comply with their current request. Not only do I consider such a request a gross violation of my privacy, but also an attempt to steal my Identity. After all, with their “offices” in India and similar countries, how can I be certain that all that data remains safe and confidential???? As a result I sent to PayPal three emails, all remain unanswered, my only option so far is to instigate legal proceeding against PayPal to free my funds currently frozen in that PayPal account. For those who can access PayPal system, the case ID number is PP-652-447-217.
Be aware of eBay, PayPal, their double charges and devious polices; it ALL hits you without a warning. Best regs, Wojtek —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 203.100.244.66 (talk • contribs)
