Condoleezza Rice visits the United Kingdom

Friday, March 31, 2006Condoleezza Rice the United States Secretary of State has been visiting the North West England as a guest of Jack Straw the United Kingdom Foreign Secretary. She has been staying in Liverpool and travelling to Blackburn, Mr Straw's constituency.
Her meeting has been followed by street protests outside her hotel on Hope Street and earlier visit to a Mosque was cancelled after public order fears.
Her visit is scheduled to last from March 30, 2006 to April 1, 2006.
