Tottenham Hotspur defeated Scottish team Celtic Football Club 2 – 0 with goals coming from Darren Bent and new signing David Bentley.

The game was a pretournament friendly exhibition game between the English and Scottish sides at the Feyenoord Jubilee Tournament in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Celtic were last season's Scottish Premier League champions. Tottenham Hotspur finished 11th in the English Premier League last season.

Bentley, the £15 million new signing and English international scored in the eightieth minute with veteran Bent first opening up the scoreboard after a mistake in the 24th minute by Celtic defender Paul Hartley allowed Bent to pounce and score a goal past Celtic keeper Artur Boruc.
