Former First Lady of the United StatesBetty Ford died Friday at the age of 93. Ford died of complications following a stroke in Rancho Mirage, California. She was the wife of former U.S. President Gerald Ford.
Ford was born Elizabeth Ann Bloomer on April 8, 1918 in Chicago, Illinois. She was the First Lady from 1974 to 1977.
She also founded the Betty Ford Center in 1982, where more than 90,000 patients were treated.
