William F. Buckley 1925-2008

Conservative icon and social commentator William F. Buckley was found dead at his desk in the study of his Stamford, Connecticut home this morning.

He was 82 years old and had been suffering from diabetes and emphysema.

He was born on November 24, 1925 in New York City.

Buckley is survived by two brothers, four sisters, and his son, Christopher. His wife, Patricia Buckley died on April 15, 2007.
