Loui Eriksson scored his 7th goal of the season to put the Stars up first. Jere Lehtinen scored on a second period power play to put the Stars up by 2. Brenden Morrow scored on his own rebound off Mathieu Garon, who was replaced by Dwayne Roloson at the start of the third period. Lehtinen scored his second of the night to gave Dallas a 4 goal lead, a power play goal at 4:32. Edmonton scored twice to cut Dallas' lead in half; first Dustin Penner scored on a power play, then Curtis Glencross scored his 7th of the season. Mike Modano scored an empty net goal with 1:59 remaining to secure the Dallas victory; Stars sweep their season series against the Oilers.

Alex Tanguay scored the only goal of the game, unassisted 11:54 into the game. Miikka Kiprusoff made 38 saves, picking up his first shutout of the season, and first in 64 starts, the last one dating to March 27, 2007, in a 1-0 win against Minnesota. Calgary wins their third straight, and now sits 1 point back from the top spot in the Northwest Division. Detroit now has lost their 7th of 8.

Steven Reinprecht scored on a Phoenix 5-on-3 power play to take the first lead of the game. Paul Stastny, who made his return to the Avalanche lineup, scored a few minutes later to tie the game. Marek Svatos gave Colorado their first lead of the game nearly halfway through the second period. With 2.8 seconds left on the clock, Phoenix's Derek Morris scored to send the game to overtime. The Coyotes would only end up with one point, as Cody McLeod scored in the twelfth round of the shootout, breaking Colorado's 5 game winless streak.

After a scoreless 40 minutes, Ryan Johnson scored his third goal of the season to give the Blues the first lead of the game. Teemu Selanne tied it up with his third of the season less than two minutes later. The score would remain 1-1 until 32 seconds into overtime, when Samuel Pahlsson scored his 5th goal of the season, and gave the Ducks their 8th win in 9 games. Manny Legace made 27 saves for the Blues, and Duck's goaltender Jean-Sebastien Giguere made 16 saves.
