Anna Nicole Smith dies[edit]

wow. FellowWikiNews (W) (sign here!) 21:37, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And I still don't know who she is terinjokes | Talk | Come visit the WikiBistro 21:38, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
She married a 90 y/o Oil Tycoon and got all his millions when he died. DragonFire1024 21:40, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
When I looked at the Wikinews main page and saw this article, I sorta thought that it was a hoax or something. But when I clicked on the article, it was not. FellowWikiNews (W) (sign here!) 21:46, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Same here, that's the reason I was reverting multiple times before web sources existed. -- Zanimum 16:02, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Date of Daniel Smith's Death[edit]

I believe that should be September 10th, not June 20th. 69.92.131.103 21:47, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Seminole, Florida[edit]

The Seminole Casino in question is in Hollywood, Florida. There is another in Tampa, neither of which are related to the city of Seminole (in Pinellas County, Florida). TheCustomOfLife 22:01, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Here in south Florida, we tend to refer to the Hollywood casino as the "Hard Rock Casino", but IDK what the offical name of it is. terinjokes | Talk | Come visit the WikiBistro 21:56, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
In Tampa it's either referred to as the "Hard Rock" or "Seminole Hard Rock." In any case, she died in Hollywood and not in Seminole (closer to St. Petersburg, and away from either casino). TheCustomOfLife 22:01, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The Casino is owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, which is why the Seminole Tribal Police were first on the scene. The town of Seminole, Florida and Seminole County, Florida are in totally different parts of the state and have nothing to do with these events. Hope this clears up some confusion. 69.12.241.39 03:08, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

'Dies'[edit]

Shouldn't this be renamed to 'Anna Nicole Smith died'? Since this already happened (past perfect afaik) and it's not about to happen. I'm no expert on English but the current title doesn't feel right. 82.171.119.249 22:26, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As this is breaking news. its in the "current" tense. DragonFire1024 22:29, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
As per our style guide Wikinews uses present tense. FellowWikiNews (W) (sign here!) 22:30, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, ok. I'm no regular visitor so thanks for the heads up :) 82.171.119.249 22:33, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
We hope you become one :) DragonFire1024 22:34, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ann Nicole's passing[edit]

For the time being, her own personal website has been shut down. Trimspa's site (for whom she was a spokesperson) has issued a statement on this event. Many Anna Nicole fan sites and other sites containing articles pertaining to her have either pulled their content, or are shut down all together (whether or not this was done voluntarily is unknown to me). 156.34.27.221 23:25, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"cheif"[edit]

"He was here with her. I don't know where he's at right now," said Charlie Tiger the cheif of the Seminole, Florida Police Department.

Spelling error. Would have fixed it myself, but the edit is protected. Good update, though.

Done. Thanks for letting us know :) FellowWikiNews (W) (sign here!) 00:48, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Consiracy?[edit]

Isn't it funny her son and then her died. What if it was (glasses dramatically taken off) MURDER!!! Dun, Dun, Duuuuuuun!

Could be. But no one knows. FellowWikiNews (W) (sign here!) 01:15, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Overdramatising alert[edit]

Is this story realy breaking news and a firstlead story? I would prefere to have it as featured or second lead at most. Please discuss it or move it if otherwikinewsies agreas. international 15:08, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It is featured :) DragonFire1024 17:44, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You must have not refreshed the main page properly. It was third lead way before you came. FellowWikiNews (W) (sign here!) 02:23, 14 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What was she famous for?[edit]

Isn't her main claim to fame from her porn movies? I think that is how most people know her. Not sure the article needs it. I think people are expected to know why an actrice is famous just like they are expected to know where Kashmire is (or read her page or read a map). 01:03, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

There's been a vast amount of celebrity/entertainment press about her. For example, her legal battle for her deceased husband's billion-dollar estate was heard by the U.S. Supreme Court. 67.10.163.122 16:54, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Porn movies? Anna Nicole Smith was a Playboy playmate; I don't think she did porn movies. Other things she's done was marry someone 63 years older than her, get a case of hers to the Supreme Court, and do commercials for Trimspa. MESSEDROCKER 17:03, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

She definitely did porn - I have proof. It should be noted on her page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 211.27.113.195 (talk) 04:54, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
