OK, it is time for your joking to end. You are potentially offending people, both here in the Wikinews community and the wider readership. What you are doing could be seen as vandalism and you could get blocked from editing Wikinews for it. Be careful and be serious from now on.

Re: Mailing List[edit]

No, you cannot nominate yourself for the position, you need someone else to nominate you. You're free to ask for a nomination on IRC. :) Thunderhead 17:32, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

WN:CV[edit]

Do you want to post a formal oversight request about the Credentials page? I haven't used those buttons yet. ;) --Brian McNeil / talk 19:30, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

I don’t think we should oversight (or delete) CV, otherwise we could have to remove months of edits. Ie all edits since your details were added. Thus would cause losing the entire edit history for months. Brian | (Talk) | New Zealand Portal 22:26, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

Audio wikinews RSS feed[edit]

[not sure if you still read this]I noticed news brief rss feed wasn't being updated, so I followed the instructions for the email update system with some of the recent news briefs, and it didn't work. Any ideas? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bawolff (talkcontribs) 17:16, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

I just got your message on my talk. Still need help? terinjokes | Talk 17:52, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
We discussed that over email a while back. Don't really remember what happened with it, but i don't need help with it anymore. Thanks for asking. Bawolff 23:01, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

Category:Storm Bertha, 2008[edit]

Do we really need a cat for Bertha? It has already been downgraded to a Cat-1 storm and even though Bermuda is getting ready, it is expected to miss by over 300 miles. --SVTCobra 14:02, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

Yes, those categories, per Portal:Tropical cyclones should have been there to start, regardless of it's current status. terinjokes | Talk 14:19, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

Welcome[edit]

You just welcomed bawolff (talk · contribs)! Was that like a joke? --SVTCobra 14:45, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

Yes, you should join us on IRC sometime. Otherwise, it wouldn't seem all that funny. terinjokes | Talk 14:49, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

Ferry story headline[edit]

I'm all for renaming the story, I dislike the headline as well, but it's hard to cover all that's in there adequatly. At the moment I'm thinking Major (legal?) developments over Philippines ferry disaster might work well, though. Thoughts? What do the others on IRC reckon? FlaggedRevs[edit]

If you have not already seen this, please look, comment, and vote both here and on bugzilla. Further assistance such as contact information for Google would be a very useful detail to share and help in petitioning for a listing in their news index. --Brian McNeil / talk 14:56, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

Template:Original storiesleet[edit]

This template is up for deletion. As you use it on your Main Page, I copied it to User:Terinjokes/Main Page/Original storiesleet and included this template on your Main Page instead. I hope you don't mind. Please reply here, if you feel like replying. Cheers, Van der Hoorn (talk) 13:38, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

Twas a bit pointless, that page itself should be deleted, as I'm sure some other junk that's in my userspace. Thanks for taking my pages into consideration, however. terinjokes | Talk 04:20, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

privs[edit]

Busy elsewhere? We understand, but this is a notice of privilege expiry!

Note! Your privileges on English Wikinews have been reduced.

Under the Privilege expiry policy (enacted October 13, 2012) the rights held by your user account have been reduced due to inactivity, or lack of privilege use. You can view your user rights log here.
Point 4 of the Privilege expiry policy provides for fast-tracking reacquisition of privileges. We all understand that real-life commitments can severely curtail the level of commitment you can give to Wikinews; the privilege reduction is in no way intended as a reflection on your past work, or to imply you are unwelcome. The aim in curtailing privileges is to address security risks, and concern that a long period of inactivity means you may not be up-to-date with current policy and practices.

Wikinews Writing contest 2013 is here. :) Please sign up to participate?[edit]

We've created the Wikinews:Writing contest 2013, which will start on April 1 and end on June 1. It is modeled on the successful 2010 contest. It would be a really great time for you, as an inactive Wikinews accredited reporter, to renew your credentials by doing some original reporting or conducting interviews. People should be around to interview to prevent a backlog, and several reviewers have access to scoop to make it easier to review any original reporting you do. If you are interested in signing up, please do so on Wikinews:Writing contest 2013/entrants. There is at least one prize on offer for the winner along with the opportunity to earn some barn stars as a way of thanking you for your participation. :D --LauraHale (talk) 10:26, 25 March 2013 (UTC)

Wikinews:Inactive Policy[edit]

Per the proposed inactive policy, yopur account has been nominated to have its privileges reduced. --

Being bothered by User:Pi zero[edit]

He is bothering me with rubbish each edit. He is never contributing. He deletes articles comments sites here, although the article is existing. Articles under development are clean up articles. I might not write about RB Leipzig. My started articles have interest and he says that other archived articles are which from amateur clubs, university clubs or something else. He wants to rename my name here and is not rename me. My articles are written after the style such as about other proven football match reports. He is psychic unable to name reasons. Please remove him from the board! He neither productive nor socially competent or educated, for a globally representative on public free sites. He gets 3 up to 8 Dollars for a block. That is one of the many reasons why they are wild to block others and counting them in info boxes. "Hä hä". --Nikebrand (talk) 21:57, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
