Talk:Australian frog is rediscovered after 17 years

Firsthand account

I was present (as a field assistant) during the find. The original rediscovery occurred July 9th, 2008, close to midnight (Brisbane time). We went back near the spot the next night, and found large breeding populations of the species. Many individuals were photographed and swabbed for skin infections (by the researcher).
