Odd paragraph

[edit]

Does this have anything to do with the story:

"This is at least the second time a protein-enhanced soy product was abandoned because the brazil nut gene transferred to the soy produced a protein that could cause allergic reactions in some people. The study was funded by the University of Nebraska ." --JWSchmidt 13:57, 19 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

I changed the second paragraph to correctly use the soy product as an earlier example of a GM food product that was found to have a problem. --JWSchmidt 14:49, 19 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

serious organ damage

[edit]

"Even though a GM corn caused "serious organ damage" to rats in Germany"

Can someone provide a reference for this?

I added material from the European Food Safety Authority that seems to address the German rodent study. --JWSchmidt 15:33, 19 November 2005 (UTC)Reply
